Work dealing with the difficulties in representing pure evil
Evil can be represented very well in film and in literature and of course in real events but can it be in still images? That is, outside works of gruesomeness and horror. The problem with pure evil is that it often tips into farce behind which it often hides. These works have a crazed quality that brings hysteria and rage into passivity, perhaps into a strange beauty.
