After the Apocalypse

PHOTOGRAPHY · 2019

Executed in Iceland, these works draw from its volcanic, lunar landscape, the colours altered to create images that seem taken from another time and place.

It is hard if not impossible when travelling in Iceland not to be struck by the strange beauty of the landscape. There is something forbidding about it as well as serene and other-worldly. Many visitors comment on the "lunar" landscape. This series seeks out particularly impersonal and brutal aspects of the landscape that were then colour adjusted with severe radioactive-like colouration. It did not require much meditation for a foreign landscape to appear.
